Antalya is the main resort in Turkey and located among wonderful contrast landscape. It attracts tourist with its shady palms parkways, perfect harbor, old picturesque neighborhood Kaleichy with narrow winding streets and ancient wooden houses.

From the moment of its foundation in II B.C. by king Attalos II, who gave it his name, the population of Antalya is always increased. Romans, Byzantine, Seljuk occupied the town before it was under the power of Ottoman Empire. Elegant minaret which was built in a center of the town by Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Kejkubat in XIII century became a symbol of the town.

When imperator Adrian visited Antalya in 130 B.C., in the town were built in ornamental three arched gates. Near the sea coast survived two towers, standing on both sides of gates and also ruins of walls. Tower with clocks was also a part of fortification of the old town.

If you will visit parks Ataturk and Karaalioglu you will be the panoramic view to the whole city with different colors of exotic plants, water of azure creek, mountains joining together with sky and then you will understand why Antalya is called a pearl of Mediterranean Sea.

Harbor and Center of rest on the sea coast Kaleichy is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey. Moreover, these places were awarded once and again. In Kaleichy there are a lot of souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes, quays for yachts and also everything for your full rest. At night, old walls of the city lightened with searchlights crest an atmosphere of insouciance and peace.

Each year in autumn Turkish celebrities and people from all cities of Turkey come to the Film festival “Golden Orange”.

In Aspendos there is a theatre which is in a good condition from the ancient times. It is for 15 000 places it uses in our days too. Theatre galleries, scene decorations and perfect acoustics are showed the high level of development ancient architecture. In June in ancient theatre Aspendos annul goes International festival opera and ballet. Antalya is also an organizer of annual fairs of jewelers and imitation jewelry.

What can be more magnificent than amazing landscape and mountains, azure sea and nature? However, suburbs of Antalya are interested not only wonderful color of nature but also important historical monuments of ancient world.
In 8,68 miles in north-east from Antalya there is a waterfall Upper Duden. Waterfall Down Duden is on the way to the beach Lara, it falls into sea from 133 feet.

Waterfall Kurshunlu and lake Nilufer are in 11,16 miles from the city strike to its natural beauty.
Sandy beach Lara is spread on 7,44 miles to the east from Antalya. Beach konyaalta with pebble is spread on west. From here the beautiful view is open to the mountains.




In 19 miles from Antalya by the north part of the mountain Bakirla on the height 5833-6333 feet is a ski resort Saklikent. In March and April you can ski and in the afternoon tan, swim in the sea and water skiing.

The road in 26 miles from Antalya to Kemer goes through the beautiful mountains place. This resort city was planned taking into account surround nature and is an ideal place for rest. Shore front Kamer has everything necessary for yachting sport and other kinds of water sport. Clean creeks and excellent beaches in south part of the city are very popular among yachtsmen. To the north from shore front there are stairs, leading from café and shops just to the beach. In Kemer there are two beaches: public pebble and sandy-pebble beach “Moon light”. Public beach deserved Blue Flag (norm of European standard). In the park Yoruk you can meet masters for their traditional work and to see an exposition of the Turkish life who lived hundreds years ago.

In April in Kemer is a colorful carnival. In spring are races on yachts between Kemer and Girne (Cyprus). Near the mountain Tahtal (Olimpos) in 9,3 miles on the south from Kemer there are 3 harbors Faselis, in past it represented the trade center of the city. Theatre, gates of Adrian, Acropolis, and also ruins of waterfalls, markets and baths are testified about historical significance of the city. From the south harbor opens wonderful view to the mountains Tahtal. Pebble beaches of Fazelis have perfect playing grounds and quite water of creek is safe for swimmers.

Ancient town Olimpos is on the south shoulder of the mountain Tahtal. Rosebay and laurel make coolness in valley of Olimpos where you can reach from the side of the sea. Sun rays gleams in water sources of the town. Gates of the temple and theatre are survived from ancient times. Walls and towers of the town are built on cycle of the creek, are referred to the middle age.
To the north from Olimpos on the height 300 m there is a mountain Yanartash where according to the legend Lycian hero Bellerofon on his Pegasus hurt volcanic monster chimera. Gas which goes to the surface of the land is bright burn here at nights. This place Byzantines thought as holy.


Port Finike is in surroundings of citreous plantations. There is a sandy beach on the east and creeks and rocky bays are on the west. Limira is an ancient Lycian town in 6.2 miles from Finike to the Turunchev. Mausoleum Pericls (IV B.C.)which is decorated telamones is a perfect example of ancient art. Town walls and theatres also have some interest. Further on this road is another Lycian town is Aricanda, faces to one of the most beautiful valleys of Turkey. Town’s ruins including agora, theatre, stadium, water supply, gym, baths and a huge number of sarcophagi.


Kash is surrounded by mountains and considered to be one of the beautiful places of Mediterranean coast. Local “water taxes” will be glad to drive you in creek, bay or beach. There is nothingbeter then swimming in its clear water.


From ancient Antifelos (old name of Kash) left only gravestones and tombs cutting through the cliffs. Walking along the streets brings unbelievable pleasure. Souvenir small shops and shops give you a huge amount of things by Turkish workmen: goods from leather, souvenirs from copper and silver, cloths from cotton and of course handmade carpets.
In Kash there are a lot of restaurants, bars, night clubs but real lovers spend time in mountains, surrounded towns, walking in the forest, visiting distant villages and ancient ruins. Mountains Kislar Sivrisy (10286 feet) and Akdag (10100 feet) bring interest from the whole world.


On thw west from Antalya there is a town Kaklan which is overlook on the hills over small creek. Its white houses, windows with blinds and balconies which are decorated with different colors going down to the streets finish the panoramic of the resort town. Town kept its charm. Narrow winding streets with souvenirs shops lead to the wonderful quay. Every morning tourists go from here to the beaches or small bays. With sunset, tourists like to gather on the terrace and drink a cup of tea before dinner and get an eyeful of tie and leaving yachts, evening panorama of the town.


For those who like sun, golf and sea modern resort town Belek which is located in 24,8 miles from Antalya is the most suitable place. Belek offer a huge amount of water sports and entertainments. Here is a National club of golf. On the famous resort of Antalya, Balek, there are all conditions for playing golf. Golf clubs are made with all world standards and famous with the high level of services and also are corresponded to the demands for making competitions and international championship. There are 8 colf fields - Gloria new; Gloria Old, Gloria Verde, Pahsa, Sultan, Tat, National, Nobilis – were planned by world famous golf architects, such as Michel Gayon, David Jones, David Feharty, Dave Thomas.


Side is one of the most famous tourist places in Turkey. The name of the town means “garnet”. Last year it was a port and today it is the most beautiful resort place. Tourists are attracted by ruins, two sandy beaches, a huge number of cafes and restaurants with the view on the sea and shops, where sells traditional Turkish goods. Wonderful theatre with colonnade is the biggest in the region. Other saved memorials are Agora, theatre of Apollo, situated not far from the sea fountain and Necropolis. Museum which is located in baths of Romans time show one of the most interesting archeological collection of Turkey.

On the east of Side in pinewood lost resorts of Sorgun, Titreengol (shivery lake) and Kisilachag which is famous by its sandy beaches, azure sea and easy atmosphere.

Manavgat waterfall is the amazing place on the shore of river Manavgat. Waterfall is on the height 16 feet is not higher than waterfall Duden but famous not less. Picture of this waterfall you can see on paper money of Turkey in the middle of last (XX) century. Garrulous water of the waterfall is an extremely beautiful show. Sitting in the restaurant under shady trees you can try trout and enjoy the fresh of the waterfall.


Famous resort town Alanya is on the rocky cape in Mediterranean Sea between two long sandy beaches. Seldjukskaya fortress which is built in XIII century is one of the famous places of the interest. 150 towers are greatly joint to the architecture double walls of fortress. Behind outer walls of fortress there are ruins of mosques, caravanserai and covered market. Behind internal walls there are ruins of water pond and Byzantine church. However, the history of Analya goes to the Ancient Roma, town reached its dawn with Seljuks, when in 1220 Alaedin Ceycubat turned it in his winter residence and at the same time in marina base. Survived buildings witnessed about important role of the town in the time of Seljuks.

Alanya is a modern resort center with comfortable hotels, huge number of restaurants, café and bars. In August in Alanya goes international folk festival which make daily live of the town to the general fun.
